ARMED police stormed a house in Port Talbot following reports of a raging row between two men.

Stunned residents of Parry Road, Sandfields, heard police at around 3.40pm on Monday.

Eye-witnesses said officers rushed into one of the flats in full body armour and a blast shield.

One resident said: "Everyone in the street was pretty shocked to see armed police storming a house in the middle of the afternoon. It was dramatic to say the least."

A spokesman for South Wales Police confirmed the swoop and added: "They were called following reports of two men arguing within a property.

"Armed officers were deployed to ensure the safety of the public and officers at the scene.

"It was quickly established that no offences had been committed."
