My Story,

At some point in 2004, I began to question my standing as an Agnostic.
I took an honest look at by belief, or lack of, and realized I had been talking to G-d my whole life. The first question being, who is this G-d?

I was raised around Christians, Protestant Christians. I heard very little about Catholics, nothing of Muslims and eastern religions. And what I heard about the Jews was not flattering at all, except guys like Moses, Abraham, David, Solomon, but generally the Jews were and are a stiff-necked, blind people.

I had also heard the Jews were (and are) G-d’s “Chosen People”. This became my starting point. I would never of imagined the respect I would feel for these wonderful people, the wisdom of the sages, the enlightening
words of rabbi’s from all around the globe, the sense of peace I have received by trusting in the One G-d Of Israel.


I bought a JPS Tanach , and joined a Torah study group at a local synagogue, searched the web for Jewish writings and thoughts. I came to understand G-d Like I had never considered before. I took Hebrew classes, to learn the language of the Bible. I listened to the teachings of Rabbi Singer, to better understand the corruption of the Christian belief
(In my world I’m surrounded by Christians). I purchaced an Art Scroll Tanach and Chumush. I read Torah every Shabbat and try to keep the Sabbath in my own way, by saying prayers, and having a nice meal with wine. I find the Jews I get to meet to be quite helpful in answering my countless questions, and the Christians I meet, treat me if I have two heads or something. Maybe I don’t understand everything, but it seems to me, the more I learn about my Creator, the less I know.
